We’ve been busying ourselves with all the tedious work that goes along with releasing a record – creating mailing lists, stuffing envelopes, sending emails, following up, etc. One of the most fun things we’ve done recently is shoot a music video! We spent a good deal of time planning with Doug Arney, who created our “legendary” commercial, and who also did this sweet music video for NY-based Oars. After securing volunteers, donated equipment, and a free space, we set a date and did all the shooting on one very long Monday. The plot was very free-form, but we knew that we wanted to dress in makeup and appear “other-worldly” somehow. We wanted a little choreography and we definitely wanted some cool lighting. Also, we wanted a pool table! And the rest just came together somehow, in many ways on the fly during the shoot and during the editing stage.

Anyway, we just got the final version of it yesterday and we are very pleased with the results. It looks beautiful, and the tongue-in-cheek humor came across really well. It’s up on Vimeo, for your viewing pleasure!!
